MOSHPIT TRAGEDY RECORDS Announces Fourth Free Album Download
July 22, 2007Three weeks ago, Canada's Moshpit Tragedy Records announced it will give away one of its out-of-print releases for free download from their web site each week for eight weeks.
Moshpit Tragedy co-founder Rayny Forster comments: "Our first eight releases are now out of print and as both a thank you and as a kind of final push to get these releases into the hands of underground music fans, we're offering a high-quality download of one release per week in its entirety — absolutely free of charge. We invite those who missed out on the physical product to check out the bands and enjoy these free MP3s."
Week four (July 22-28) of the promotion brings us "solo experimentalist" THE PARANOID, with the 13 tracks of stoner-punk-metal that comprised his 2006 effort "Demography" which was released as part of Moshpit Tragedy's "DIY Series."
According to a press release, "THE PARANOID is a strange and reclusive character who hails far removed from human interference in remote Northen Canada, using transcendogens which allow the brain to explore unknown areas — all the whole documenting the whole experience through music. Warning: These lo-fi recordings are not for everybody!"
